Founded in May 2016 with a vision to unite innovators across the world, Mettā is a powerful space and platform enabling purpose-driven individuals to make a difference, through collaboration. Since then, we’ve built two centrally located clubhouses in Hong Kong and Nairobi where leaders from across industries come to share ideas, identify challenges, and create solutions. We’ve watched our community grow to more than 1000+ members, hosted 400+ events and proudly witnessed the birth of multiple startups, communities and movements within our ecosystem.
About the Role
We are expanding the Hong Kong team and are looking for a fun and reliable person to join us. We want a team player with a positive attitude towards new and exciting challenges, who enjoys working in a buzzing environment. The right candidate will be creative, enthusiastic about innovation and not be scared to roll their sleeves up when things get hectic. You should be independent as well as collaborative, and not afraid to ask questions.
We are looking for an awesome Journalism/Content intern, ideally for at least 3 months. This position can be full- or part-time.
This internship position will provide lots of networking possibilities, giving you a window into the startup ecosystem in Hong Kong.
We're looking for someone who likes writing, is creative, and understands the importance of tone, language and medium in crafting your message. Native level English is necessary.
Responsibilities

Written content creation (blog posts, social posts, web copy, interviews,event summaries, etc)

Event support when needed

Various other tasks in support of the team and content manager

Creating and maintaining events lists and outreach when applicable
