As an entrepreneur and startup investor for 13 years, Lawrence has built, scaled and exited businesses across a range of sectors including property, media, finance, marketing and manufacturing. In an operational capacity, Lawrence has led three exits, most recently the strategic repositioning through to exit of digital creative agency Fluid, to PwC in 2016.

Following a long family history of entrepreneurship in the UK, Lawrence moved to Hong Kong in 2004, quickly establishing himself as an investor and advisor to startups. Combining operational experience in strategic leadership with an investment background, he is focused on supporting early-stage companies to achieve commercialisation and scale.

Lawrence previously worked at J.P.Morgan for 10 years as a trader, managing books across corporate bonds, credit & equity derivatives and structured credit. He co-founded Nest in 2010 and held the position of COO until May 2016 when he became CEO.
