Peter Brack is a venture capital investor and entrepreneur with a strong operating background. Over the course of his career, Peter has lived and worked in five countries, and has run businesses which are global in scale.

Peter has been a director at Nest since 2014, and became Executive Chairman in 2018.

As a venture partner at Mucker Capital, a leading seed-stage venture firm in Los Angeles, Peter has worked across a rapidly growing portfolio, deeply engaging with founders and leadership teams, and sourcing new opportunities for the fund. After transitioning from a long career in Asia, he is now also known as a key player in LA’s growing venture and startup community.

As an entrepreneur, Peter was co-founder and CEO of two companies, both of which went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Redgate Media Group, which Peter co-founded in 2003, is a diversified television and outdoor media and entertainment company in China. Redgate Media merged with a public company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2013.

​

Peter also co-founded and was CEO of One Media Group, a leading Chinese-language lifestyle and entertainment content publisher. One Media Group went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2005.

Prior to becoming a scrappy founder, Peter was an executive at Time Warner. His roles ranged from Sr. Vice President of Time Inc. Asia, VP of Ad Sales at Turner Broadcasting, and in his first job out of university, helping to launch CNN and Cartoon Network in Asia.

Peter is a trustee at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, has a BA in History and Literature from Tulane University, and studied French Philosophy and Literature at The American University of Paris.
